League Structure
AAI has three recreational leagues, a 4U Coed Modified T-ball league, a boys Baseball league and a girls Softball league. Our 4U Coed Modified T-ball league is an independent league based on in-house rules and regulations, our Baseball league is affiliated with USSSA Baseball, and our Softball league is affiliated with PONY Softball. For more information on the different divisions we offer, go to the Divisions of Play link on our website.
Spring
The spring season consists of 12 games (excludes 4U) - this is a combination of regular season play and an end-of-season tournament. We hold tryouts for 6U t-ball through 14U divisions for both baseball and softball. The number of registered players determines the number of teams in each division - this is determined prior to the draft. The top eight teams of each division are seeded based off of win/loss records from regular season play, and those eight teams go on to play in the end-of-season tournament. The spring environment is competitive in nature, but we remain focused on development and teaching sportsmanship.
- Games: played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
- Location: all games are played at AAI's complex.
- Practices: these are coaches discretion.
- Uniforms: a cap and jersey are provided.
Fall
The fall season consists of 6 regular season games followed by a playoff (excludes 4U). Although we do hold a draft, tryouts are not held. The number of registered players determines the number of teams in each division. The fall season is intended to be a non-competitive - instructional season. Records of wins and losses for standings purposes will not be maintained. Our focus is to build basic fundamentals, teach kids about the game, and to teach sportsmanship - without the pressure of wins and losses.
- Games: played on Saturdays.
- Location: all games are played at AAI's complex.
- Practices: these are coaches discretion.
- Uniforms: a cap and jersey are provided.
All-Stars
All-Stars or post-season play consists of players and coaches from the league's spring season. This is a highly anticipated season that highlights the accomplishments and performance of players during league play for both baseball and softball. Once the regular spring season is completed, then the selected players/teams continue playing through June and July in local and out-of-state tournaments. For more information on All-Stars, go to the Tournament Play (All-Stars) section in our handbook.
Boundaries
Our eligibility boundaries are (1) Aledo ISD, and/or (2) Parker County. If you do not fall into one of these categories, Board approval may be required for your eligibility.
